Technique & Processes

My experiments demonstrated more details, and emphasize the space of the building. To explore with different materials, skills and approaches are interesting because I can explore more possible ideas with using many materials to create different structure and tone.

The experiment I have explored with:

l Tonal drawing: pencil, charcoal pencil

l Using collage with the printed image

l 3D drawing use pencil and ruler to institute the perspective of structure

l Cutting different parts of the image to recreate the form with scissors

l Lightroom to crop out the unnecessary spaces and advance the light and the quality of the image

l SCAMPER to reinstitute and develop different ideas, to combine ideas between my experiment with influenced work by designer to become new a image.

l Use different types of Angeles to present my found object and get the concepts from the perspective of the image.

The most interesting part that I think is I use SCAMPER to recreate my found object, and I can see the possibility in different perspective of the image to combine with the designer’s works in my research. However, I try to cut out the image and change the orientation and form with SCAMPER and scissors. I still need to improve the accuracy of using materials, develop more techniques for my pathway architecture, and try to layout different tones and reflection that expressed the whole structure to become more three dimensional with the colour wheel as well.

I have adopted a series of SCAMPER drawing to create my new experiment. I enjoyed to institute with SCAMPER because I can separate different sections of the ideas, it help me to extract the interesting part of the structure to develop a new idea.

I have found some challenges to choose the idea that the magic wand has not many layout to give me to choose and combine with different sections.
