introduction

concept

After these few weeks, I’ve found relationship of nature and city life from my found object and the inspiration of photography. In cycle 1, I explore some elements with my mind map that advance my ideas to combine nature and city life. I look at the modern building which built with some natural elements is a shopping center in Hong Kong, also I’ve found the tropical architecture building in other countries for collecting my inspiration in my research.

This is the photography of architectural building in Hong Kong, It expressed the nature elements on the modernist architecture was create with some curve.

In cycle 2,I attempted more drawing-based work to explore with my found object, then I found my Harry Potter magic wand which bought in Universal Studios Japan. It is both wooden and evokes a natural feel, I SCAMPER-ed with the distinct formal elements of the magic wand to recreate a new idea of nature, city within a fictional, magical world. I engaged to a new experiment called" found object project". i found an object that I bought it from Universal studio japan in few years ago is my favorite movie- Harry Potter to reminded me from my childhood to the present.

SCAMPER

In the beginning, I started to create with SCAMPER to generate the separate parts of the found object and used these elements develop my experiments that associated with my pathway in architectural design that is a wooden architectural design. The ideas of SCAMPER is very useful, I can break down different section of the object and use these idea to develop a new works

As for the found object, I found some interesting ideas from this magic wand that it has many of wood grain on the magic wand body to make think about the ideas of combine the urban elements and nature elements.
