Final project: week 3-generating ideas

After to generate the ideas from my research, I selected a parts of elements of two examples to develop a 3D experiment from Olivia in the first asynchronous task.

these two examples were contained natural elements, as you see the lamp as a beehole that compose by several hexagon shape looks very geometric. But the whole structure looks sphere that contrasting between geometric and spherical shape to create subtle movement. As for the national convention centre, the tree form instituted irregular pillar to support the ceiling that inspired me to layout irregular form. This is the reasons why I've chosen these two examples.

So I combined the ideas from two examples which is Olivia give me to create a 3D model. First, I do a quick drawing with the form and shape from two examples that I selected and I cut all the shape to collaborate to a 3D paper model. The most challenging is the time limited that it is quiet hard to generate ideas.

In this model, I was used my own research to layout a 3D model. Tree pods housing and Infinity tree were inspired me that used curvaceous shapes and decorated with rectangular shape to structure a different gradations. Also, I took photograph from four perspective to express the details of model. I think the interesting thing that I found is I selected some interesting elements from my examples to play around with different ideas and make the model variety.

In the image board, I combined two of primary image and two secondary research to develop my image board. The ideas that I found were around tree form and plants, when I started to explore

my initial ideas of final project, the patterns and the form were inspired me from tree and plants, the trunk layout different layers with several leaves. The imagination of tree expand many separate spaces just like mind map, also it can mean by sustainability.

The image board contained different design with timber and elements. Especially, two examples that design plenty of grid to develop gradations with timber are very interesting because designer created with amount of diamonds grid demonstrate subtle texture.
